Ingredients

  • ¼ cup (57g) unsalted butter, chilled & cubed
  • ⅓ cup (42g) flour
  • 2 cups (220g) granola*
  • 1 package (600g) frozen mixed berries**
  • ¼ cup (50g) white sugar
  • ⅓ cup (42g) flour
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) cinnamon

Method

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).

Place the butter and flour into a medium bowl and blend together using a fork until the mixture is crumbly.  Add in the granola and use your hands to mix well ensuring that the granola is covered with the butter/flour mixture.  Set aside.

In a large bowl, combine the frozen mixed berries, sugar, flour and cinnamon until well coated.

Place the berry mixture into an greased 8”X10” (20cmX25cm) oven-to-table baking dish.

Bake for 35 minutes until the fruit is bubbling and the granola is lightly toasted brown.  Let the crisp cool slightly before serving.

Chef Notes:

*Our Winter Granola recipe, which is full of dried fruits and nuts is ideal for use in this

recipe.

** Keep a bag of frozen berries in the freezer to make this crisp anytime of the year. However, during the summer months, we love to use 2-3 cups of fresh berries when they are in season.
