Sweet & Savory Turkey Burgers

Makes 4 - 6 Burgers

  • 2 pounds (900 grams) lean ground Ontario turkey 
  • ½ cup (125 ml) fresh blueberries
  • ½ cup (125 ml) chopped green onions
  • 3 tablespoons (45 ml) prepared horseradish
  • 5 teaspoons (25 ml) dried tarragon leaves 
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (*or to taste) 
  • ½ teaspoon (2 ml) each; salt and pepper 
  • burger buns and garnish of choice


Preheat the grill to medium high. 

Using clean hands, combine all ingredients and form into 4 jumbo burgers (or 6 smaller burgers). Place burgers on a clean, preheated grill and turn heat down to medium. Grill for 5 minutes. Flip burgers and grill for an additional 5 to 7 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F/75°C.

Place burgers in buns and garnish.
