Wholesome Oatmeal Pancakes

Makes 6 - 8 Servings
These pancakes are wholesome and healthy made with rolled oats, whole wheat flour and no sugar. Add sweetness with a drizzle of maple syrup and fresh berries.

  • 1 cup (120g) all purpose flour
  • 1 cup (120g) whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup (120g) rolled oats
  • 2 teaspoons (10ml) baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon (2ml) ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoons (2ml) salt
  • 2½ cups (375ml) milk
  • ¼ cup (60ml) vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla


Combine all the dry ingredients in a large bowl.  In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs, then add in the milk, oil and vanilla until well blended.  Using a wooden spoon, stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until combined.  

Heat a nonstick pan over medium/high.  Spoon batter onto heated pan.  Once bubbles start to form, flip and continue to cook until pancake starts to puff up and is golden on the bottom.

Serve with fresh fruit and maple syrup.
