Materials

  • Planter Pot
  • Fresh tree or faux
  • Mini lights, optional
  • Magnolia leaves
  • Cinnamon sticks
  • Dried Orange Slices
  • Pine cones

Method

  • Place the tree in a planter pot and position it for the best view.  Stabilize the tree by wiring it for support.
  • Test the mini lights and add them in a zigzag pattern while turned on.  It is easy to it see any holes if you cross your eyes and adjust to fill in where needed.
  • Add branches of magnolia to the base of the tree to add a skirting effect.
  • Add large pinecones, setting deep into the branches.
  • Add bunches of magnolia leaves throughout the tree. Then wire them together onto the branch.
  • Next, add the fresh dried orange garland in a zigzag pattern around the tree.
  • Fill in with natural ornaments - Cinnamon sticks wrapped in twine, orange slices with twine hangers.
  • Stand back and admire your work.  Well done!
